Child Is Gold Foundation was founded in the year 2020 by a young lawyer and a group of friends who are highly motivated and committed to contributing their time, skills and energies for the development of socially disadvantaged and vulnerable community of children and women in Nigeria.
CIGF was formally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission as a development organization, Non-governmental, Non-profit and Non-sectarian, Non-portend organization working for social development of vulnerable and less developed women and children in the society.

To develop and empower children, orphans, vulnerable and out of school children, internally displaced children, single mothers and women group through education, immunization health, human rights awareness, capacity building enlightenment campaigns against harmful practices/ risky behaviours and the importance of voluntary participation in community service and National Development.
CIGF is a member of social mobilization working group activities such as Advocacy mobilization, GBV, and sensitization campaigns, reaching out to the hard-to-reach communities.
Violence against children occurs in homes, families, schools, communities and other places where children should feel safe. We support the Government of Nigeria in protecting children.
At CIGF, we are dedicated to providing Teen/Youth education that encourages responsibility,spirituality and deep thinking within the community.
